Who is Jerry Dryer?

Jerry Dryer, president of J/D/G Consulting, is a well respected market analyst, strategic thinker, and commentator with more than 40 years of active participation in all aspects of the dairy foods business.

Jerry began consulting in 1977, and founded J/D/G Consulting in 1989. In addition to his responsibilities as principal and president, Jerry frequently speaks at food business meetings, conventions and seminars. He contributes articles to numerous trade publications.

After earning a Bachelor’s degree in agriculture and a Masters in agricultural journalism at the University of Wisconsin, Jerry joined the staff of the National Milk Producers Federation. While in Washington, he also spent one year at the US Department of Agriculture. Returning to Madison, he was named editor of The Cheese Reporter. Subsequently, he founded Cheese Market News and was named editor of Dairy Foods magazine.

Jerry founded the Dairy & Food Market Analyst, a weekly e-letter 23 years ago and continues to research and write it. He also does long-range price forecasting and market research for numerous clients.
